Emma E Rexford

Plattsburgh Mrs. Emma E. Rexford, 93, formerly of Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y.. She was born at Tupper Lake on July 5, 1919, the daughter of the late Colice and Edith (Derosia) Baker. Emma was employed for many years by V.F.W. Post 125 and also by Clyde Lewis. She was a 42 year member of V.F.W. Post 125 Ladies Auxillary where she served as President and was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 1466, American Legion Post 20 and American Legion Post 1619 Ladies Auxillaries. She is survived by four daughters; Elizabeth Rowe of Syracuse, Patricia Morrow of Syracuse, Carol Hummer and her husband Jim of Balston Spa and Nancy Randlett of Syracuse, one son; Carl Morrow of Lyon Mountain, step son; Mike Rexford of Washington, two sisters; Audrey Carrigan of Baldwinsville and Gloria Breyette of Plattsburgh, one brother Francis Baker and his wife Ortha of Harkness, twenty five grandchildren, several great grandchildren , great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Emma was predeceased by her first husband Alfred Morrow in 1956, second husband Newton Rexford in 1968, her companion Raymond Parrish in 2006, five children; Raymond Morrow, Shirley Lamay and Edith Mason Reid, one stepson; Newton Rexford, Jr., four grandchildren; Deborah Rowe, Tina Rowe, Cheryl Morrow and Michael Mason, five brothers; Fred, John, Leo, Amos and Jim Baker, and three sisters; Beatrice, Debra, Viola Baker. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel Interment will follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru.
