Erma M. Grimnes

Erma M. Grimnes (Rainville), formerly of West Chazy, NY, recently of Victory Place, Plattsburgh, NY went to our Lord on July 21, 2024. She was born in Newton Falls, NY on March 3, 1930. The Rainville family moved to Plattsburgh when Erma was young. She attended PHS and Plattsburgh Business Institute. She was an aspiring model. She was employed as a secretary for insurance agencies and Clinton County Sheriff's Department, and was also a Deputy Sheriff for Clinton county. Erma was also an employee for General Dynamics (GDA). She married the love of her life, Audin G. Grimnes in Manistique, MI on December 31, 1975. Erma is survived by a daughter Deborah Loftus Johnson of Plattsburgh, NY and a step-daughter Dr. Karin A. Grimnes of Alma, MI, as well as nephews David, Michael and Donald Rainville, including her cousin Brenda Rabideau and other relatives. She is predeceased by: husband Audin H. Grimnes, daughter Brenda L. Loftus, step-son Eric S. Grimnes, parents Wesley and Mamie Rainville, and a brother Donald Rainville. Erma loved her many family pets and enjoyed being a home maker. Services are in the care of Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Visitation is scheduled for Monday July 29 beginning at 9:00AM at the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church, concluding with burial at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family requests contributions be made to Palmer's Veterinary Clinic's "Angel Fund" c/o Dr. G. Palmer 6274 NY-22, Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Family condolences may be sent to her daughter, Deborah L. Johnson at 4907 S. Catherine St., Box 26, Unit 302, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
