Esther E Devins

West Chazy Mrs. Esther E. Devins, 78, of the LaPlante Road, West Chazy, New York passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 19, 1931 the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Collins) Rabideau. Esther was a member of the Beekmantown Get Together Club where she was the Sunshine Girl. She had been self employed as a care giver to the elderly. Esther was predeceased by her parents Clarence and Hazel Rabideau, two brothers; Kenneth and Gerald Rabideau and a sister Verna Ayotte. She is survived by her husband Raymond Devins of West Chazy, one son Alexander Patrick Meshefsky and his wife Helene of Chazy, New York, two daughters; Rosemary Sterbenz and her companion Richard Feleppa of Elizaville, New York, Donna Critchley and her companion Joel Kerr of Wantagh, New York, two brothers; Oswald Snider of Plattsburgh, Harold Rabideau and his wife Jeannie of Crossville, Tennessee, one sister; Ruth Dixon and her companion Bob Arquette of West Chazy, her step daughters; Mary Garcia and her husband Fernando of San Antonio, Texas, Louella Bordeau and her husband Rodney of West Chazy, NY, Audrey Munson and her husband Richard of Chazy, NY; her step sons; Raymond Devins, Jr. and his companion Cheryl Drollette of Plattsburgh, Alfred Devins and his wife Lynn of Plattsburgh, Gordon Devins and his wife Tanya of West Chazy, John Devins and his wife Sue of Plattsburgh, a daughter-in-law Cathy Devins of Chazy, 27 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, one aunt Lillian Atkins of Altona, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Chapel with the Rev. William Reamer, Chaplain at CVPH Medical Center officiating.
