Esther K Miller

Cadyville Mrs. Esther K. Miller, 91, of Rabideau Street in Cadyville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Evergreen Valley Nursing Home in Plattsburgh with her family by her side. She was born in Cadyville on April 14, 1920, the daughter of George and Mabel (Rock) Rock. Esther was employed by Montgomery Ward for many years and retired as a department manager. She enjoyed gambling, BINGO camping, and traveling with the Senior Citizens groups. She was a member of St. James Church. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Robert and Frances Miller of Cadyville, Ronald and Bonnie Miller of West Chazy, Linda and Roy Beck of Morrisonville, a brother George Rock of York, Pa., a sister Mary Muchler of Clearwater, Fl., daughters-in-law Mabel Miller of Jay , Dorothy Miller Allen of Morrisonville, sixteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest H. Miller in 2007. Two sons, Francis Miller, and Harold Miller, a grandson, Harold Miller, Jr., a brother Herman Rock and her sisters Irene Myers,Theresa Upton, Barbara Mumbro, and Beatrice Arlt and her parents also passed away earlier Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row in Cadyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. James Church in Cadyville. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.
