Estherine M King

Estherine M. King, 90, of Altona, New York gently passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 in Lake Placid, New York with her loving children at her side.
She was born on July 11, 1932 in Altona, New York, to Alfred and Rose (Meseck) Burdo, and was the eldest of nine children. She married Robert L. King from Chazy Lake, New York on May 18, 1957 and they returned to this area to raise their family after working downstate for two years.
Survivors include her children Diana (Richard) Vopelak, Norma (Raymond) Barber, Arlene Horton, Shirley (Thomas) O’Neil, Annette (Jimmy) Demarais and Robert M. King; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty Sears and her brothers Wilfred & Leeward Burdo, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and husband and by her brother Richard Burdo and sisters Elsie Burdo, Della Sample, Doris Cody and Valedia Seymour.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road in Altona, New York from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Church in Altona, New York. A rite of committal will occur for immediate family at the Ellenburg Town Mausoleum at a later time.
