Morrisonville Mrs. Etta Louise Desrocher, 98, formerly of the Military Turnpike, Treadwells Mills and most recently of the Ram Road, Morrisonville, New York passed away, Monday, December 14, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center with family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, New York on December 18, 1910 the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Collins) Hendrie. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, bingo and spending time with her family. Etta was predeceased by her husband Victor J. Desrocher, three children Marceline "Sue" Downey, Lynn Minor and Marvin Desrocher, her brothers Edward and Timmy Hendrie and a son-in-law Jim Downey. She is survived by four sons; Victor Desrocher and his wife Jean of Johnsville, Tennesee, Gene Desrocher of Peru, Warren Desrocher and his wife Gladys of Morrisonville, Melvin Desrocher and his wife Tammy of Plattsburgh, two daughters; Janice McCarl of Peru, Margaret LaPorte of Massachusetts, twenty nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law Sheila Desrocher of Plattsburgh, a son-in-law Danny Minor of Plattsburgh several nieces and nephews. At Etta's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery. Etta's family would like to acknowledge the wonderful love and care provided by Paula Roberts of Paula's Place on the Ram Road, Morrisonville, New York and expresses gratitude to Hospice of the North Country.
