Eugene A Beebie

Plattsburgh Mr. Eugene A. Beebie, 88, of Facteau Avenue in Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with family by his side. He was born in Mooers on November 12, 1924, the son of the late Abel and Mary (Riel) Beebie. Eugene graduated from Mount Assumption Institute in 1943 and then served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 486th Ordnance Evacuation Company. He later was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Plattsburgh and retired as a Supervisor after 28 years of service at the Post Office. He was a member of St. Peter's Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Theresa (Mongeon) Beebie, his children and their spouses; Michael Beebie of Plattsburgh, Peter J. Beebie of Plattsburgh, Teri-Gene and Curt Conlin Evans Mills, N.Y., his grandchildren; Amanda Begore, Robin Trudeau, Katherine Beebie, Joseph Currie, Emily Conlin, Erinn Conlin, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his dog "Max". A son Mark Beebie, a great grandson Jordan Coss, and his brothers; Floyd, Earl, Douglas, Kenneth, and Conroy Beebie passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
