Eunice M Dougherty

Morrisonville Eunice M. Dougherty, 100, formerly of Morrisonville, passed away Sunday June 18, 2017 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility with her family by her side. She was born in Saranac Lake, New York on May 1, 1917 the daughter of Fred and Minnie (Canty) Rushia. She married Hugh Dougherty at Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Albany on May 1, 1942. She later worked for J&J Rogers Paper Mill in AuSable Forks for several years. She enjoyed cross word puzzles, but her greatest love was spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband, her brothers; Frederick, Kenneth, and Raymond, her sisters; Dorothy, and Kay. She is survived by her daughter Maureen Dougherty, her sister Patsy, many nieces and nephews, and her fur-baby, Butterball. Calling hours will be held on Monday June 26, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, to St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville, or the Morrisonville Schuyler Falls Volunteer Ambulance Service.
