Evelyn B Bonville

Plattsburgh Mrs. Evelyn B. Bonville, 88, formerly of Peru, New York and most recently Plattsburgh, New York passed away, Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center with family by her side. She was born in Ellenburg, New York on May 20, 1921 the daughter of Oliver and Rose (Rabideau) Boyea. Evelyn and her late husband Orville operated the Clinton County Humane Society which today is known as the Elmore SPCA and two dairy farms. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, following her childrens' sporting events, spending time with her family and she was a member of St. Peter's Church, Plattsburgh. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Oliver and Rose Boyea, her husband Orville, a daughter Jan Carroll, her brother Raymond Boyea, and her sister Isabelle Santamore. She is survived by three daughters; Judy Murphy-Gorman of Valcour, Kathy Boswell and her husband Robert of Peru, New York, Suellen Bonville of Port St. Lucie, Florida five sons; William Bonville and his wife Dorothy of Peru, New York, Michael Bonville and his wife Roxie of Fort Pierce, Florida, Gary Bonville of South Plattsburgh, New York, Bruce Bonville and his wife Anita of Peru, New York, Dennis Bonville of Plattsburgh, New York her sisters; Marjorie Harrigan of Plattsburgh, Bernice Collins of Plattsburgh, 20 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, October 30, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
