Evelyn H. Lashway

It is with our deepest sympathies that we announce the death or our beloved wife, mother and grammie, Evelyn Helen Lashway (Ihne) on January 26, 2025, at the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous 7 year battle with ALS. Evelyn was born in Brooklyn, NY to Edward and Teresa Ihne. She was the sunshine in every room, and a true angel on Earth. She loved her family fiercely, and there was no greater role to her than "Pusher of food," and "Spoiler of her grandchildren." Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life, Terry Lashway, who loved her faithfully for 51 years and cared for her tirelessly until her last breath; her children, who she referred to as her "rocks", Kristy and Christopher Gonyo, Christopher Lashway, and Carrie and Brian Healy; her true pride and joy, her grandchildren, Olivia, Addison and Owen Healy, Everly and Christopher Lashway and Sierra (Harjo), Olivia and Corey Gonyo; her dearest friend, Jackie Jerry; her siblings, Patty LaVenture, Edward Ihne Jr. and Teresa Maulding. A special thanks to all the family and friends who reached out to show their love and support for Evelyn during her life, especially during her courageous battle with ALS. Calling hours will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, New York. A Funeral Service will follow with Father Reamer Officiating.
