Florence A Collins

Florence A. Collins, 95, of Town Line Road, Cadyville, NY, passed away on Thursday November 24, 2022 at her home. She was born in Cadyville, NY on December 30, 1926 the daughter of Richard and Edna (Latour) Delise.

She attended St John’s Academy and married Ernest W. Collins on February 14, 1946.

She volunteered with many organizations. With her husband she fostered 43 children over the years. She still has a close relationship with Sheila Tellier-Wells. She helped and supported her husband with his businesses and other ventures.

Florence was active in many church and civic organizations. She frequently held leadership positions.
She was a master at crafts. Almost everyone she knew was provided a handmade gift for most occasions.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ernest, son Russell, brother Maynard and his wife Stella and brother Kenneth and his wife Doris, sister-in-law Loretta Delisle (wife of Richard) and brother-in-law Gervis Parent (husband of Helen).

She is survived by her son Ernie, his wife Marilyn, daughter in law Karen, grandsons Jeremy (Ellen) and Chris (Kathy), granddaughter Krista (Robert) and great granddaughters Alexandra and Payton, her brother Richard, sister Helen and many nieces and nephews and close friends
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. James Church in Cadyville.

A further mass and interment will be held sometime in the spring or summer with a memorial and celebration of life to follow. Details will be provided at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity or organization of your choice in her memory.
