Florence H Donivan

Chazy Ms. Florence H. Donivan, 94, of Ratta Road in Chazy, passed away Saturday. February 12, 2011 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh on February 17, 1916, the daughter of George and Lucy (Leazott) Donivan. Florence graduated from Chazy Central Rural School in 1934 and attended Plattsburgh Normal School. She was employed at Georgia-Pacific in Plattsburgh for over 40 years. She was a member of the Chazy Senior Citizens and was also a school crossing guard. She enjoyed sewing and needlepoint. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Sandra and Daniel LaPointe Sr. of Chazy, her grandchildren; Bruce LaPointe, Tim and Gena LaPointe, Darren and Jenn LaPointe, Tori LaPointe, her great grandchildren; Christopher and Lorie LaPointe, Jamie and John Martin, Scott LaPointe, Katelynn LaPointe, Jordan LaPointe, her great great grandchildren; Damian Harrington, Zeita-Lynne LaPointe and Jacob Martin, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh.
