Florence I Lamonda

Florence I. LaMonda, 100, of Plattsburgh passed away June 12, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side under Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Champlain, NY on March 11, 1921 the daughter of William and Alphegina (Gelineault) Berthiaume.
Florence worked for twenty-six years at Plattsburgh State University College as a dietary worker. She worked in auxiliary services from 1959 to 1977 and dining services from 1977 to 1985. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed puzzle books, reading, and sewing. Florence was a member of our Lady of Victory Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Raymond LaMonda, Sr., a son Raymond LaMonda, Jr. a grandson Colby LaMonda, her siblings Gloria, Leila, Gina, Sally, Morris, Arthur and Rita.
Florence is survived by two daughters; Florence wells and her husband Harold of West Chazy, Angela Boivin of West Chazy, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as first cousins and her caregiver/grandson, Matthew, whom he will miss her dearly.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh.
A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
