Plattsburgh Mr. Floyd P. Duso, 83 of Beekmantown, NY passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2009 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Altona, NY on June 25, 1926 the son of Peter and Irene (Lashway) Duso. Floyd was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army. After returning from the war he drove truck for Bayview Dairy for 15 years and then United Van Lines, retiring in 1991. Floyd then worked part time for Carpenter Brothers Moving and Storage. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, watching wrestling and spending time with family and friends Floyd was predeceased by his parents, his step mother Lillian Duso, two sisters Genevieve Douglas and Marie Castanger. He is survived by wife of 51 years Doris (LaTour) Duso, of Plattsburgh, two sons; Michael Duso and his companion Chantel of Plattsburgh, Peter Duso and his wife Monica of Schuyler Falls, two daughters; Donna Montroy and her husband John of Beekmantown and Gloria Trost of Dannemora, a step brother Stephen Duso and his wife Gloria of Beekmantown, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, October 23, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York 12901. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
