Frances T "Fran" Behan

Frances “Fran” Theresa Behan, 80, of Sanborn Avenue, Plattsburgh, New York, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh.
A native of Plattsburgh and the daughter of Frank and Therese (Wiskoski) Behan, Fran was born on March 10, 1939. She is survived by a brother, Michael Behan, her sister, Barbara Shannon, one niece, Jolin Bevin, and nephews, Mike Behan, Christian Behan, Frank Shannon and Michael Shannon.
Fran graduated from the Champlain Valley School of Nursing and later worked at CVPH Medical Center as a Registered Nurse.
Fran was beloved by many. Her passions included barbecuing with friends, fishing, cross-country skiing, gardening, furniture refinishing, driving her trademark black Subaru around town and watching the New York Giants. She was also an avid photographer who ventured the Adirondacks in search of colorful, fall leaves.
Calling hours will be held on June 30th from 3 to 6pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on July 1st at 11am at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
Donations in Fran’s memory may be made to St. John’s Church.
