Francis R Curry Sr

Plattsburgh Francis R. Curry, Sr., 77 of Butler Road, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Sunday June 26, 2011 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Beekmantown, NY on January 14, 1934 the son of Norman and Eva (Latour) Curry. Francis joined the United States Marine Corps in 1954, he was honorably discharged in 1956 and soon after married the former Shirley Anagnos on November 24, 1956 at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. He worked for the United States Government, General Services Administration, retiring in 1994. Francis enjoyed spending time with his family and was always a joker. Francis was predeceased by his parents, a sister and brother in law, Barbara and Roger Frederick, a brother, Harry Curry and a brother in law, Larry Corrow. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Shirley Curry, five children; Barbara Miner and her companion Loren LaBombard of Morrisonville, Deborah Rollier and her husband Dennis of Beekmantown, Carol Zamfir and her husband Andrei of Arizona, Tina LaValley and her companion Jon Provost of Vermont and Francis "Bobby" Curry, Jr. and his wife Heather of Alabama, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two sisters; Marilyn Corrow of Plattsburgh and Betty Frederick and her husband Gerald of Plattsburgh, a brother, Clarence Curry and his wife Loretta of Morrisonville several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday June 29, 2011 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Funeral Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
