Francis J "Frank" Miller

Plattsburgh Mr. Francis J. "Frank" Miller, 81, of Sanborn Avenue in Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y. He was born in Mooers Forks on February 14, 1932, the son of the late Gilbert and Jennie (Peete) Miller, Sr. Frank served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a well known local barber for over 40 years and co-owned the Plaza Barber Shop. He played for the Plaza Barber Shop Softball Team for many years and was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, and was a lifelong Yankee fan. Frank was a wonderful husband. He was a supportive and involved father. He had a twinkle in his eye and a beautiful smile and lived life to it's fullest. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Regina (Bushey) Miller, his children and their spouses; Frank and Ramona Miller of Tampa , Fl., Scott and Wendy Miller of New Hartford, N.Y., Amy Miller and husband Sean McVeigh of Middlesex, Vt., a brother and sister in law; Gilbert and Carrie Miller of East Greenbush, N.Y., a sister; Dorothy Anderson of Canton, his grandchildren; Kyle, Bob and Mackenzie , Cassandra, Stephanie and Jessica, and Reagan, and many nieces and nephews. His brothers; Jerry Miller, Leonard Miller, Rudolph Miller, and Alfred Miller, and four sisters; Leona Boulerice, Elizabeth Jarvis, Geneva Gadway, and Flossie Miller passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday at St. Peter's Church.
