Francis P Ryan Md

Francis P. Ryan MD, age 85, died February 14, 2021 at Elizabethtown Community Hospital. He grew up in Chateaugay, NY and attended Fordham University, then medical school at McGill University in Montreal. He did his pediatric residency in New York City at Bellevue hospital, served in the Navy Medical Corps, and then practiced as a pediatrician in Plattsburgh for many years. Frank enjoyed playing the piano, all kinds of music, golf, antiques, brain teasers, and travel. He also enjoyed singing with the choir at St. Peter’s Catholic Church and with other choral groups.
He was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Irene (Rogers) Ryan, infant sister Mary, brothers Ambrose, Roger, and Henry, sister-in-law Gail Ryan, and nephew Patrick Ryan. He is survived by sisters-in-law Margaret Ryan and Joanne Errett, nieces and nephews Michael Joseph Ryan, Mark Ryan MD, Mary Joanne Ryan, Jane Vacca, Terrence Ryan, Gregory Ryan MD, Kathy Ryan, Mary Beth Strohm, Mary Louise Williams, and Michael Jay Ryan, many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Memorial masses may be requested at St. Peter’s church. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Peter’s, the CVPH Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
