Peru Mr. Frank A. Denchick, Sr., 89, of Valcour Heights Drive in Peru, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Astoria, New York on August 31, 1921, the son of Frank and Pauline (Sajewicz) Denchick. Frank served in the U.S. Army during World War II . He was a carpenter and was employed by the Loveshaw Corp., Republic Aviation and retired from the Woodbury Lumber Co.. He was a member of the Minerva Fire Department, the Adirondack Chapter of the Good Sam RV Club, V.F.W. Post 125 in Plattsburgh and American Legion Post 629 in North Creek. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lillian (Urban) Denchick, son and daughter in law Derry R. and Rita M. Stern, son and daughter in law Frank A and Keri L. Denchick, his grandchildren; Julie A. Grimaldi, Jeff A. Stern, Kaleb R. Gohlke, Kaitlyn R. Denchick, Karalyn I. Denchick, his great grandchildren; Nancy M. Grimaldi, Nicole L. Grimaldi, Olivia S. Winters, Graham D. Stern, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. His parents, a brother John Denchick and a sister in law Stella Denchick passed away earlier. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be offered to the Peru Fire Department.
