Mr. Frank E. Walsh, 86, formerly of Beekmantown and most recently of LTS Street, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born in Amsterdam, New York on November 23, 1923 the son of Frank and Mary (Bennett) Walsh. Frank served in the U. S. Navy Seabees during WWII. He owned and operated Frank's Cabinet Shop in Beekmantown for many years. Frank enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a Charter Member of the Beekmantown Fire Department and a Charter Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1466. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mary Walsh, his brothers; James McCauley, Arthur McCauley, his sisters; Winolia Phillips and Alice Myers. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Frances E. (Varno) Walsh of Plattsburgh, a son, Ronald E. Walsh of Chateaugay and his children; James R. Walsh and his wife Tamara of California and their children, Ciara and Cheyenne, Frank E. Walsh and his companion Monique of California, Franks children, Baylee and Bryson, a daughter Janice Wood and her husband Carl of Keeseville and their children Jeffrey C. Wood of Keeseville, Ronald E. Wood and his wife Kasi of Keeseville and their children Hailee J. Wood and Matthew A. Wood, a sister Caroline Schillace of Brodheadsville, PA, a brother-in-law Edward Varno and his wife Barbara of Beekmantown, several nieces and nephews. At Frank's request there will be no calling hours. Following cremation, inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens on the Tom Miller Road.
