G Warren Carter

Plattsburgh G. Warren Carter, 79, of Twin Circle, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Begor Home in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh, New York on May 18, 1926 the son of Charles and Anna Mae (Drollette) Carter. Warren was a veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Army. He built many homes in the North Country with Ralph Filion and worked at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora in the Light, Heat and Power Dept. Warren enjoyed woodworking, skiing and was a member of the Beartown Ski Area Council and the American Legion Post 20. He was predeceased by his wife Theresa, they were married on June 5, 1950 at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. Warren was also predeceased by a son-in-law Michael O'Malley and a brother Charles W. Carter, Jr. He is survived by two daughters; Anna O'Malley of Plattsburgh, Jackie Clukey and her husband Raymond of Peru, five grandchildren, Teri LaMora and her husband Bryan of Plattsburgh, Christopher Garrow and his wife Jillian of Peru, Erin Fagel and her husband Jason of Juneau, Alaska, Shawn Garrow and his wife Hattie of Suffolk, Virginia, and Khristopher Clukey of Plattsburgh, 6 great grandchildren, Danielle, Brennen, Ella, Macey, Maggie and Pearson, a sister Bernadine Heberstreet of Scotia, several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to Begor Home or Hospice of the North Country, C/O Brown Funeral Home.
