Gary L. Pageau, 77, died November 3, 2024 at his home. He was born in Malone, New York on September 6, 1947 son of Carlton and Shirley Pageau. Gary was a graduate of Lyon Mountain High School and attended the University of Arizona. Gary joined the U.S. Air Force on January 5,1967, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. Gary was a self-employed truck driver for twenty-eight years. He was past President of the North Country Veterans Association, and belongs to American Legion Post 1619 , Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 125, DAV, AMRA, and the knights of Columbus Council 255. Gary loved everything to do with the outdoors, from camping, hiking, four-wheeling, fishing, hunting. Gary survived by his wife Robin Pageau of Morrisonville, two brothers Stephen Pageau of Plattsburgh, Michael Pageau of Plattsburgh, two sisters Margo and her husband Timothy Rounds of Plattsburgh, Cheryl Alexander of Plattsburgh, and several nieces, nephews, sister and brother in-laws, also survived by a very special great-niece Rylee Barber, and his four legged companion Lady. Gary is predeceased by his parents Carlton (Cobby) and Shirley Pageau of Lyon Mountain, also predeceased by three sisters, Valerie Frazier of Plattsburgh, Yvette Pageau of Lyon Mountain, Carol Blaine of Lyon Mountain. Calling hours will be Friday 8 ,2024 from 3pm-5pm at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, New York. Reception to follow at North Country Veterans Association at 27 Town Line Road West Chazy, NY 12992. Burial will be Tuesday 12, 2024 at 11:00am at Saint Peter's Cemetery with full military honors. Donations in Gary's memory may be made to his wife Robin Pageau or Morrisonville Ambulance.
