Gary L Pelkey

Champlain Mr. Gary L. Pelkey, 69, of Glaude Road in Champlain, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his home. He was born in Malone on March 2, 1944, the son of the late Nelson and Viola (Henderson) Pelkey. Gary was a farmer for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, fixing tractors, tinkering with engines and going to auctions. He is survived by his children; Tina of Pennsylvania, Gary Pelkey, Jr. and companion Kim Bulris of West Chazy, Joey Pelkey and companion Shannon Powers of Mooers Forks, Tracey Pelkey and companion George Witworth of Selbyville, DE., his siblings; Betty and Brice Winters of North Bangor, Katherine Eure of Mount Rainier, MD., Robert and Clara Pelkey of Plattsburgh, Lynda and Lyman Pearl of Chazy, Dorothy and Kevin Allen of Morrisonville, Eugene and Mary Pelkey of West Chazy, Marilyn Pelkey of West Chazy, Melvin Pelkey of Beekmantown, 9 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs Bambi and Cocoa. His parents, his brothers Maynard and Merrill, and his sisters, Joan Pelkey and Lois Thibault passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy.
