Genevieve "Gen" Laduke

Genevieve "Gen" LaDuke, 82, of Plattsburgh, passed December 20, 2021 at the UVM-Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was a proud native of Chazy Lake, born February 7, 1939, the daughter of Andrew and Lorena (DuBrey) Barber.
Gen graduated from NAC in 1957. She married the love of her life Ronald C. LaDuke on October 12, 1957. She was an excellent seamstress as well as skilled in crocheting and knitting. She was a faithful parishioner and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the America’s Court Mary Immaculate #479. She was active with the Osteoporosis Exercise Class at the Senior Center.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ronald. Together they raised three children; Andrew (Cindi) LaDuke, Cynthia (Jim) Ryan, and Lars LaDuke. They also have three grandchildren Jean LaDuke, Mark (Chelsey Trombley) and Kelli Ryan (Dan Swanson), her sister Bernadette Favaro and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Bernard (Dorothy) Barber, and Francis Barber.
There will be no public calling hours due to the current pandemic. A Mass will be Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 1:00pm at St. James Church, Cadyville. Per current NYS COVID rules masks are required.
The family would like to thank the UVM-CVPH Medical Center and the ICU Neurological Unit at UVM-Burlington for the care Gen received. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to have Masses said in Gen’s name.
