Gerald "Jerry" Buttress

Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Buttress, 84, of Beekman St., Plattsburgh, New York passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at his home. He was born on January 14, 1928. Jerry entered the U. S. Army on July 19, 1945 and retired as a Sergeant Major on December 31, 1965. He moved to Plattsburgh in 1967. Jerry received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Plattsburgh State University College in 1977. He retired as the Assistant Comptroller from Ayerest Pharmaceutical in Rouses Point. Jerry enjoyed gardening and reading. He was predeceased by his wife Marie V. Buttress. Jerry is survived by his daughters; Cynthia M. Lasher-Graham and her husband Thomas of Apopka, Florida and their son Kevin, Karen Federice and her husband Richard of Clifton Park and their children Amy, Kari and John. At Jerry's request there will be no calling hours. Interment with full military honors will be Friday, August 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery.
