Gerald E. “Jerry” Duquette, 87, of Plattsburgh passed away unexpectedly January 5, 2022 at UVM Burlington, Vermont. He was born in Plattsburgh on October 28, 1934 the son of Herbert and Mary (Guyette) Duquette.
Jerry was a superintendent for Murnane Associates. He enjoyed going to flea markets, rummage sales, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, going to Airborne Speedway and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Local 1042 for 70 years, the Morrisonville Fire Department, the Jaycees, the Elks, St. Alexander’s Church and he served on the grievance board for the Town of Plattsburgh.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents, his siblings; Donald, Kenneth, Ralph, a daughter-in-law Julie Duquette, a step daughter Deanna Cronk, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Clifford and Althea Daniels and his stepmother Clara Daniels.
He is survived by his wife of forty three years Donna (Daniels) Duquette, his children; Robbin Leiasure (Buddy), Wendy (John) Clukey, Brad (Monica), Rickie, David (Becky), a brother Robert (Phyllis), his stepson George (Erika) Cronk, two brothers-in-law Roy and Henry Daniels, three sisters-in-law Rose, Deanna and Jean Duquette, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander’s Church.
Interment will be at a later date at St. Alexander’s Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
