Geraldine D. "Gerry" Hicks, 98, of the Broadwell Road, Morrisonville passed away Monday October 29, 2018 at the Meadowbrook Health Care Facility. She was born in Groton, NY on October 8, 1920 the daughter of Edgar and Eva (Fogerty) Dickens. Gerry was a principal account clerk at Comstock Correctional Facility retiring 1979. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and scrabble. Gerry was predeceased by her parents, her husband Hugh "Pete" Hicks, Sr., a son Hugh "Pete" Hicks, Jr., a grandson Kyle Broadwell and a brother William Dickens. She is survived by her daughters; Donna (Bob) Broadwell, Debbie (D.Paul) Bover, Brenda (Paul) Cronk, her sons; Gerald (Daria) Hicks, Bill (Colleen) Hicks, a brother Ronald Dickens, a daughter-in-law Mary Hicks, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Dannemora. In lieu, friends wishing may make donations in her memory to St. Alexander's Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY (518) 561-3980.
