Gertrude T Baraba

Plattsburgh Gertrude T. Baraba, 82, of Prospect Avenue and formerly of Champlain Street, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Friday December 5, 2014 at Meadowbrook Health Care in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh on June 28, 1932 the daughter of Alphonse and Mary (Dumas) Baraba. Gertrude graduated from D'Youville Academy in 1948. She worked for Bell Telephone for 28 years retiring in 1976. Gertrude was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister Genevieve Baraba DeGray. Gertrude is survived by her son Brad Reil of Plattsburgh and her nephew Robert DeGray and his wife Virginia of Plattsburgh. At Gertrude's request there will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 9, 2014 at 1:00 pm at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
