Gilbert Bobbie

Gilbert Bobbie, 78, of Plattsburgh passed away, Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at CVPH Hospital, Plattsburgh, NY. He was born in Mineville, NY on August 31, 1946 the son of Gilbert J and Jessie (Yelle) Bobbie. Gilbert was an avid hunter and fisherman and, after retirement from the Clinton County Highway Department, loved sitting in his garage watching tv, tinkering with his “stuff”, and playing games on his tablet. He loved his country and retired from the U.S. Navy and N.Y. State National Guard after serving for 25 years. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren and he loved the holiday dinners when they would all be home. He is survived by his wife Gloria Bobbie, daughter Jennifer (Dennis) Bray, grandchildren Brandon, Alexandra and Brieanna, and step-grandson Ethan Bray, his son James (Stacy) Bobbie and son Gavin, his sister Catherine Baglyos, brother and sister-in-law David and Laura King, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Jessie (Yelle) Bobbie, his sisters Geraldine (Homer) Barcomb, Elsie (Edmund) Trombley, Doris Bobbie, Flora (William) Conway, Grace (Donald) Catanzarita, and Gladys (Richard) Perry, his brothers Robert (Joan) Bobbie, Ernest (Theresa) Bobbie, and Kenneth (Louise) Bobbie.
