Gladys Argentina Mendoza de Diaz came from Dominican Republic to New York City in the late 70’s to live with her brother Hector “Chino“ Diaz, His wife Teresa Diaz and their Daughter Maria T. Diaz from there she met Cesar Augusto Mendoza through a friendship with Teresa and Hector. They fell in love got married on June 13th of 1980 and had one child, in 1981 a daughter named Tania Giselle. One of her favorite things to do has always been planting and taking care of her little garden. She Loved going for walks in the park, exploring different places and trips to the casino. Her most cherished and special days were whenever her grandkids were involved. They are and will always be her pride and joy, she was there for every birth. She absolutely loved and I know she still loves her three boys. One thing she always said was “When my day comes that I would like to be surrounded with my grandchildren and my daughter”. That's exactly what happened, She sadly had been diagnosed with cancer and lost the battle but yet died very peacefully after she opened one eye looked around the room and saw everyone that she hoped to be there were surrounding her. That's when she knew it was time for her to go.
