Plattsburgh Mr. Glenn E. Clausen, 85, of Lakeview Towers entered into Heaven and into the Arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center with his companion Pat and his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on February 16, 1929 the son of Charles and Linnie Mae (Pardy) Clausen, Sr. Glenn was a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Army serving in Korea. He was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #125 where he served as Chaplain and he was a Life Member of the American Legion Post #20. Glenn was a member of the RSVP Advisory Council. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings; Charles, Gerald, Carl, Harold, Florence, Vera, Dorothy and Effedean who died at birth. He is survived by his companion Pat Skelton of Plattsburgh, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews also survive him. He was a mentor to each and every one of them. Glenn loved his family deeply and loved to tell jokes. He will be missed by everyone he touched in life. His love of life will be carried on by his family. At Glenn's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service with military honors will be on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the West Chazy Rural Cemetery.
