Glenn A. Monto, 79, of Plattsburgh, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at his home with his family by his side, under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on January 24, 1940, the son of the Francis and Mildred (McGivney) Monto.
Glenn was a true outdoorsman; he was an avid hunter and fisherman. His greatest joy was his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Joan Blanchard and his brother Gerald Monto.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his son Jason Monto, Eric Monto and his companion Destiny Bechard, his grandchildren, Tiagh and her husband Jeremiah Dezan, his great-grandson Connor Dezan, and his soon to be born great-granddaughter Haevyn Dezan.
Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2019 at St. Alexander’s Church, Morrisonville, from 10:30-11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of the North Country and Nurse Heather Newell for the exceptional care Glenn received.
