Gloria M Bushey

Plattsburgh Gloria M. Bushey, 83, formerly of Sailly Avenue and most recently of the Samuel S. Vilas Home, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Malone on March 25, 1925, daughter of the late Joseph Samuel and Dora Josephine (Riley) Bushey. Gloria was very involved in Academia, she had been employed by SUNY Plattsburgh for many years. She was active in local community arts, belonging to Community Choral. The highlight of her life was sailing through the Florida Keys with her close friends. Gloria was an animal lover, being especially fond of cats. She was an avid reader and played the piano. Gloria enjoyed her family, especially the visits from her nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was a very giving person. Gloria is survived by her sister, Shirley M. Faubert of Elizabethtown and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Brown Funeral Home Chapel, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY. Burial will be in St. John Bosco Cemetery in Malone, NY.
