Gordon J Martineau

Plattsburgh Gordon J. Martineau, 73, of Cross Road, Plattsburgh, NY passed on Wednesday January 13, 2010 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on October 6, 1936 the son of George and Mabel (Collins) Martineau. Gordon worked as a carpenter for Harry Payea Construction in Plattsburgh. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Taxidermy. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, his wife Catherine Martineau, three brothers; Daniel Martineau, Harold Martineau and Ronald Martineau and three sisters; Mildred Brown, Isabelle Chamberlain and Laura Reil. He is survived by three daughters; Debra Caron and her husband Richard of Plattsburgh, Bonnie LaMere and her companion Richard Martin of Cadyville and Amy Martineau and her companion Eric Reyell of Plattsburgh, four grandchildren; Kelly Caron, Donald "Butch" LaMere, Melissa Caron and Cody Martin, two great grandchildren; Zoie and Devon Caron. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Friday January 15, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel, burial will be later in the year in Schuyler falls Cemetery.
