Grant E Wilson

Altona Mr. Grant Wilson, 57, of Altona, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the UVM CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born on May 15, 1958 in Malone, NY. Grant was a mechanic by trade but mastered anything he put his mind to. He was an avid seeker of knowledge. He was known best for his unique sense of humor, quick wit and storytelling. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and classic rock. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Grant was predeceased by his parents, David and Lucille (Jones) Wilson, his father in-law, Lawrence Patnode, a sister in-law, Judith Barber, his nephews; Shawn Patnode, Larry Rabideau, Joseph Patnode, Steven Provost, and Warren Phillips. He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Laura (Patnode) Wilson, a daughter, Tracy Wilson, a son, Seth Wilson, all of Altona, NY, his siblings; Clyde Wilson and his wife Karen of Constable, NY, John "JD" Wilson and his wife Patty, of Mooers, NY, Angela Wilson of Arizona, Cynthia Phillips and her husband Dennis of Hogansburg, NY, and Marcelia Campbell and her husband John of Tennessee, his mother in-law, Jane Patnode of Altona, NY, four sisters in-law and three brothers in-law, Linda McDonald and her husband Marlon, of Mooers Forks, Sandy LaGoy and her husband Wallace of Ellenburg Depot, Debbie Provost and her husband Allen of Beekmantown, Ellen Rabideau of Plattsburgh, Daniel Patnode and his wife Nel, of Plattsburgh, James Patnode of Plattsburgh, Randy Patnode and his companion Cindy Lou Kimball of Beekmantown, and Amy Patnode of Minnesota, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and four great-great-nieces and nephews.
