Harold J Barcomb Sr

Harold J. Barcomb, Sr. 76, of Route 22 B, Morrisonville, NY passed away on Sunday October 11, 2009 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born on May 27, 1933 the son of Henry and Flora (Guerin) Barcomb. Harold was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He then went on to work for many years for the Laborers Union Local 186 before retiring. He was a member of the South Plattsburgh Fire Department and held the position of Assistant Chief. Harold enjoyed woodworking and going to BINGO. He was predeceased by his parents, six brothers; Hubert, Homer, Howard, Leeward, Leon, Ernest, and three sisters; Yvonne, Rose, Jenny. Harold is survived by his wife of 45 years Joan (Beshaw) Barcomb, five children; Harold Barcomb, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Morrisonville, Cynthia LaDuke of Plattsburgh, Tina Sines and her husband Lloyd, Jr. of Cadyville, Melissa Bressette and her husband Donald of Plattsburgh and Christopher Barcomb and his wife Joni also of Plattsburgh, seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive him as well as a brother Earl Barcomb of Plattsburgh, and three sisters; Theresa Lobdell of Chateaugay, NY and Lucille and her husband Al Collins of Plattsburgh and Cecile Hart of VT. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday October 14, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday October 15, 2009 at 2:00 at St. Augustine's Church in Peru, NY, burial will follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery Online condolences and memorial candles may be offered at www.brownfuneralhomeinc.com.
