Sibling who predeceased him were Barbara Jean Keysor (infant), Johnny Thomas (infant) Catherine (Leon Ray) Durocher, Jared (Betty) Keysor and George (Nadine) Keysor. Harold enlisted in the US Navy Seabee Division in 1956 as an equipment operator. He proudly served until 1962. He also worked as a logger between construction season. He was last employed as a civilian employee at PAFB wherein he showcased his various construction skills. He remained there until the base closed. Harold was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was very diverse in his talents and skills. He worked hard to provide for his family. He was eager and willing to teach his family his many traits and very proud when they successfully applied them. In his spare time, one would find him on his property working or in his garage tinkering on projects. Projects were his past time. He was very creative and portrayed the Seabee attitude “Can Do” with all projects. He was an avid hunter. His hunting adventures took him Elk hunting in the Teton Mountains with wonderful friends. He most enjoyed hunting at Antler Ridge with Dale, Travis, Nate, the boys and all who stopped in. He cherished the memories made there and we all enjoyed the stories he told of their hunts. His love for and from his family is his biggest legacy. He was loved dearly and will be missed immensely. He was and will continue to be our hero. Gone but never to be forgotten. Harold was honored to participate in the North Country Honor Flight on June 17, 2023. It was a most moving and memorable experience for him and for his family. We recently learned that our Saranac American Legion Post 1618 is sponsoring an upcoming Honor Flight in September. In lieu of flowers, donations to support this flight in Harold’s memory may be made to the Saranac American Legion Post 1618, 275 Wilson Road, Saranac, NY 12981.
