Plattsburgh Harold H. Macey, 93, of Hartwell Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Thursday April 2, 2015 at Meadowbrook Health Care in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on October 11, 1921 the son of Henry and Maude (Premore) Macey. Harold grew up in Plattsburgh and in October of 1942 joined the United States Army serving his country as a Lineman in the Pacific Theater. He was honorably discharged in December of 1945 and soon after returned to Plattsburgh. Harold began working at Imperial Paper Mill in Plattsburgh, he retired from Imperial in 1984. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing and for many years was a member Pine Ridge Bowman Club. He loved spending summers at his camp in Loon Lake. Harold was predeceased by his parents, his siblings; Raymond, Ross, Wilfred, Evelyn and Veronica. He is survived by his children John Mooney and his wife Pamela of Plattsburgh and Julie Wells and her husband Dennis of Plattsburgh, four grandchildren; Chase, Craig, Kristina and Stephanie, five great grandchildren; Corinne, Colin, Michayla, Desmond and Emma, several nieces and nephews also survive him. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be later in the year at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
