Harold E Relation

Beekmantown Mr. Harold E. Relation, 94, of the Rooney Road, Beekmantown, passed away Monday June 2, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in West Chazy, New York on February 13, 1920 the son of Alfred and Louise (LaPier) Relation. Harold was a construction supervisor for various construction companies in the area and was a dairy farmer for many years. He was the Tax Collector for the Town of Beekmantown for one term, Supervisor for the Town of Beekmantown serving two terms and was Town Assessor in Beekmantown for 18 years, a position he held until his health forced him to resign. He had been a member of the Beekmantown Volunteer Fire Department and was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Church, West Chazy. Harold enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, berry picking and spending time with his family. Harold is survived by his children and their spouses; Lanny Relation and his wife Judy of Beekmantown, Ginger Clark of Duanesburg, Georgia Branham of Beekmantown, Deanne Dwyer of Port Kent, Harold Relation Jr. of Rouses Point, Dwight Relation and his wife Blossom of West Chazy, Martin Relation and his wife Lori of Beekmantown, Sandra Smith and her husband Gerald of West Chazy, Debra Chilton and her husband Stephen of Ellenburg Center, Dennis Relation and his wife Penny of Beekmantown, Bonnie Bijeau and her husband Philip of Plattsburgh, 24 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Thelma Relation, two sons; Jerry and Wade Relation, a grandson Christopher Clark, his siblings, Alfred Relation, Ethel Salls, Eleanor Chauvin, Louise Relation, Raymond Relation and Alice Duprey. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
