Harry Bren

Plattsburgh Mr. Harry F. (Bienhold) Bren, 86, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center. He was born on Long Island on March 22, 1923 the son of Frank and Barbara (Hummel) Bienhold. Harry was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the American Legion Post #20. Harry and his wife Rose managed the National Bell Store in the North Country Shopping Center. He was a gun and coin collector and enjoyed traveling. Harry was predeceased by his parents, his wife Rose, his son Franz Bienhold, a grandson Jeremy LaFountain and a son-in-law Lloyd Lord. He is survived two daughters, Katherine Lord of Cadyville, Christine Bienhold-Durham and her fiancé Michael Lapham of Plattsburgh, two grand daughters; Carrie Carnright of Cadyville and Rosa Durham of Montana, two great grandchildren; Samantha and Cassidy LaFountain of Dannemora, several nieces and nephews. At Harry's request there will be no services. Following cremation, interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
