Hattie G. Carnahan, 79, of Plattsburgh, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 in South Carolina. She was born on June 29, 1938 in Ernest, PA, the daughter of Gary and Helen Goss. Hattie was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. John's Church. In her younger years she was a talented pianist, and taught several children to play, many who still kept contact with her later in life. She was known to put everyone ahead of herself and go out of her way to help the children in the neighborhood, a true matriarch to many children. In her free time she enjoyed baking, cooking and sewing. She was predeceased by her parents, and her daughter-in-law Victoria Carnahan. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Carnahan, their children; Ray Carnahan, Rick Carnahan, Tim Carnahan, and Holly Cadigan and her husband Steve, 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Church on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 11:00am. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
