Helen S Forshay

Helen S. Forshay, 79, of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown. She was born in London, England on June 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Isaac and Brinah (Shaprio) Kashman.
Helen was a school crossing guard for many years and loved bowling and bingo.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband William M. Forshay, her son Gary Wayne Forshay, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Laura Sumner and her husband Jon, Kathy Otis and her husband Shelby, Paul Forshay and wife Kelly, her grandchildren; Debbie Manor and her husband Joe, Brittani Hellen and her fiancé Nate Morrison, Stephanie DiNatale and her husband Justin, James Otis, her great-grandchildren; Wyatt Morrison, Dana Morrison, Quinn Manor, Claire Manor, Ashton O’Neill, Leo DiNatale, and a great granddaughter on the way, and many nieces and nephews,
Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Essex Center for the excellent care given to Helen.
