Henry W Green

Henry W. Green, 88, of Adirondack Lane, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Monday June 20, 2016 at his home with his family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Cohoes, NY on February 26, 1928 the son of Joseph and Pauline (Michalski) Green. Henry graduated from St. Mary's High School in Rensselaer, NY, and later graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. He worked for Key Corporation on State Street in Albany for 41 years until retiring. Henry married Joan Blow on July 7, 1962 at St. Louis de France in Sciota, NY. They lived in Menands, NY, raising their family until relocating to Plattsburgh in 1995. Henry was amember of the Knight of Columbus Council 255 in Plattsburgh and the Clinton County Senior Citizen Council until his health no longer allowed. He had a love of gadgets, mail order catalogs, his computer, spending time with his family and his Polish heritage. Henry was predeceased by his siblings; Edward, Vincent, Joseph, Constance and Anthony. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Joan of Plattsburgh, their daughters; Pauline (Michael) McWaters of AL, Marianne (Damon Fregoe) Sorrell of Plattsburgh and Joline Dahoda of Clifton Park, NY and Eliza Criss of OH, six grandchildren; Michael McWaters, Thomas Sorrell, Zachary Dahoda, Taylor Filon, Alexandria Criss and Logan Criss, several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Saturday June 25, 2016 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
