Herbert Henry King

Herbert Henry King, 85, of the Military Turnpike, West Chazy , passed away on December 31, 2023. He was born Saturday, May 21st, 1938 , the son of Paul and Dora King. Herbert graduated from St. John's High School. He married Mabel Goddeau on January 30, 1960. Herbert worked as a mechanic at Georgia Pacific in Plattsburgh for 40 years. He was a lifelong dedicated farmer raising heffers, beef and dairy cattle. Herbert was a member 4-H where he would show cattle. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Kenneth King and a son Kevin King. Herbert is survived by his wife Mabel, their children; Sherry Favreau and her husband Vern "Jim", Terry King and her companion Ronald Clark and Bryan King and his wife Tina, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Sunday January 7, 2024 from Noon to 2:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be Monday 11am at St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville. Donations in Herbert's memory may be made to the Foundation of CVPH. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
