Howard B Pecor Sr

Howard B. Pecor, Sr., 82, of Prospect Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Monday February 23, 2015 at UVHN CVPH in Plattsburgh. He was born in Duxbury, VT on June 15, 1932 the son of Wallace "Ira" and Iris (Foster) Pecor. Howard grew up in Duxbury, he joined the United States Army in 1949 and in the late 1960's he transferred to the United States Navy to be a "SEA BEE". Howard completed two tours in Vietnam before being honorably discharged after twenty years of service to his country. He returned to the North Country and worked construction for many years. Howard enjoyed fishing and a love of animals. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley Pecor, a brother Wallace Pecor, a son Howard Pecor, Jr., two grandchildren; James and Molly Pecor and a great granddaughter Cansas Bushey, Howard is survived three children and their spouses; Jean Gardner and her husband Paul of Cadyville, Star Peryea and her husband Roland of Altona, Deborah Drake and her husband David Szot of Keeseville, his grandchildren; April, Carrie, Sinda, Angel, Bryan, Jessey, Jason, Mark, Paul and Leah, several great grandchildren, his siblings; Colleen McDonald, Georgia Therrian, Lorraine Heywood and Linda Rushford, several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday February 25, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at Holy Angel's Church in Altona, burial will be later in the year in the parish cemetery.
