Ian E. Yando, 20, of Rabideau Street, Cadyville, NY, passed away on Tuesday June 4, 2013 with his family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Burlington, VT on December 12, 1992, the son of Daniel and Catherine (LeBlanc) Yando. Ian was born with a rare anemia, which required a bone marrow transplant. He was later diagnosed with cancer, but was always a fighter and courageous through his life. Ian always maintained his sense of humor and was an inspiration to everyone who met him. He enjoyed playing soccer, horseback riding, camping, hunting and bow fishing with his father. Ian was predeceased by a brother Charles Joseph Yando and maternal grandfather, Malcolm LeBlanc. He is survived by his parents; Daniel and Catherine Yando, his grandparents; Martha and Earl Schmidt of Plattsburgh and Barbara LeBlanc of AZ, his aunts and uncles; Jill Shumway of VT, Edward A. Yando of Plattsburgh, Debbie Gonyea of Plattsburgh, Wayne Gonyea of Morrisonville, Lori and Barry Gorman of Morrisonville, Sue and Greg Durocher of Plattsburgh, Brian and Laura LeBlanc of AZ and Heidi Golden of AZ, several cousins also survive him that he enjoyed spending time with. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh.
