Iola M. "Sue" Heikkila, 85, of Tremblay Ave., Plattsburgh, NY passed away peacefully Sunday, March 11, 2018 at her home with her care giver Deb Matthews by her side while under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Altona, NY on July 27, 1932 the daughter of Roy and Bertha (King) Parrott. Sue enjoyed fishing, traveling, shooting pool and playing Yahtzee with her sister Peg for hours. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Arvo J. "Hike" Heikkila, a son Harley Facteau, a daughter Bonnie DeCarlo, her siblings; Roy "Red" Parrott, Jr., Rodney Parrott, Cloyd Parrott and Terry Parrott. Sue is survived by two sons; David Heikkila, Rickey (Laura) Facteau, her siblings; Margaret "Peg" Parsons and her husband Ricahrd, Irene LaBarre and her husband Frank, her best friend Keith Boyd, her care giver Deb "love bug" Matthews, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews Calling hours will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday March 15, 2018 at 1:00 p. m. at St. Peter's Church. Interment will be at a later date at St. Peter's Cemetery.
