Irene V St Germaine

Morrisonville Mrs. Irene V. St. Germaine, 88, of Ram Road in Morrisonville, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at her home with her family by her side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh on December 16, 1922 the daughter of Orrin and Agnes Frederick. Irene attended Plattsburgh High School and was employed as a nurse's aide at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh for many years. She was an avid bowler well into her 80's. She also enjoyed camping, crocheting and fishing. She assisted her husband Arthur when he was Plattsburgh Town Clerk and she loved her family very much. Irene enjoyed the company of little children and babies. She would rock them and play card games, which they enjoyed. The children always look forward to seeing aunt "Reen." Irene was a member of St. Alexander's Church. She enjoyed the final years of her life living with her niece Melissa Frederick and her husband Tim in Plattsburgh and their family. Prior to going under hospice care, Irene enjoyed bowling on the Wii System and taking long rides through the Adirondacks. Irene is survived by a daughter; Shirley MacGregor of Portsmouth, N.H., a sister and brother in law; Kathleen Gebo and her husband Leander of Plattsburgh, a half sister; Claudette Good of Plattsburgh, six grandchildren; Robert MacGregor, Brian MacGregor, Lisa Hemenway all of New Hampshire, David St. Germaine of Wallkill, NY, Scott Bouyea of Plattsburgh and Michael Bouyea of Peru, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, a special niece Melissa Frederick and her husband Tim of Plattsburgh, several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Orrin and Agnes Frederick, her step mother Hazel Frederick, her husband Arthur C. St. Germaine, a son Earl Moore, a stepson David St. Germaine and a sister Elma Morse. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
