Isabel T "Izzy" Bombard

Mrs. Isabel T. Bombard, 81, of Lake Shore Road, Chazy, NY, passed away on Sunday February 8, 2009 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on May 13, 1927 the daughter of Dr. Charles and Helen (Stetson) Tanner. Isabel graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1945 and in 1949 from Wells College in Aurora, NY. She married her high school classmate Allan Bombard on December 23, 1950 at the Plattsburgh Presbyterian Church. Isabel was an avid reader, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family at their home on Lake Champlain. She was predeceased by her parents. Isabel is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years Allan Bombard, three sons; Dr. Allan T. Bombard and his wife Paula of San Diego, CA, David Stetson Bombard and his wife Anne of Sackets Harbor, NY and Charles E. Bombard and his wife Beth of Las Vegas, NV. Five grandchildren; Natalie Bombard of Charlotte, NC, David S. Bombard, Andrew T. Bombard, Patrick A. Bombard all of Sackets Harbor, NY and Amelia Bombard of Jacksonville, FL. A brother Dr. John Tanner and his wife Louise of Plattsburgh, NY and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jean Raymond and her husband Harold of Plattsburgh, NY. At Isabel's request there will be no public calling hours and a funeral service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family, burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
