Isabelle C Lamkins

Schenectady Mrs. Isabelle C. Lamkins, 83, of Marra Lane, in Schenectady, NY (formerly of Cadyville, NY), passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Saranac, NY on March 7, 1931 the daughter of the late Robert and Albina (Corrow) Collins. Isabelle retired from CVPH Medical Center after 25 years of service. She is predeceased by husbands Mitchell Miner and Robert Lamkins, her sister Helen Lamkins, brother Joseph Collins and son Kenneth (Miner) Collins. She is survived by her daughters; Regina Thompson, Jennifer Breyette, Shirley (Paul) Keil and her sons; David (Linda) Miner and Charles (Kathy Hunt) Miner. Granddaughters Michelle (Rick) Camp, Tracey (Will) Hempel and Amanda (Lars Pratt) Breyette. Great-grandchildren Luke and Morgan Hempel and Camille Pratt. Several step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Sunday August 10, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Cadyville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 am at Church of the Assumption, in Redford, NY. Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, on the Tom Miller Rd in Plattsburgh at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in Isabelle's memory may be made to the Adirondack Humane Society, in care of Brown Funeral Home.
